OCEANES
Clara Peya in concert

Clara Peya is a Catalan pianist and creator, considered one of the most original and unique of the music scene in our country. She graduated in classical piano at the ESMUC in 2007 and studied advanced jazz and modern at the Taller de Músics de Barcelona. She studied for more than 12 years with Professor Leonid Sintsev with whom he continued his training at the Rimsky Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg. In the field of modern music and jazz he has done it with Joan Monné, Roger Mas, Txema Riera or Marco Mezquida.

She is co-founder of the theater-dance company and live music Las Impuxibles, with which she has premiered four multidisciplinary shows: Todo es humo (2012), Mrs. Death (2012), (A) murals (2014) and Limbo (2015), which we could see in the Theater Hall of the UAB the last course.

Throughout 12 years of musical career he has released 7 albums under his name. The last one is Oceanes, a tribute to women of water. It is an intimate work that speaks of those who have inspired her during her creative career. It features Panxii Badii's electronic and ambient music, and is the first time that Peya has experimented with hip-hop.

In the concert on the 19th we can feel it with Anna Ferrer, singer, and the bassist Vic Moliner.

In the words of the creator:

"Oceanes is a tribute to women of water.

Water is calmness and fury, cleanliness, purification, flow, depth, immensity, motherhood, birth. We are water.

In Greek and Roman mythologies the Oceanids were nymphs daughters of Oceans and Tethys. Each of them was associated with a source, sea, river or lake.

I have decided to convert some women who have gone through my life in the Oceanes, women of water. "
