Mauricio Carrasco studied with Luis Orlandini and Oscar Ohlsen during the nineties at the Catholic University. His life took a turn when, in a contest of interpreters in Geneva, he met the outstanding Brazilian teacher María Livia São Marcos. After this meeting he entered the Conservatory of Music in Geneva where he graduated as a soloist in 2002, and obtained the graduate in contemporary chamber music in 2004. He is the founder of the group of performers and composers VORTEX, which is composed of Latin American musicians and Europeans who integrate video art, dance and digital animations into their creations.

Mauricio Carrasco is a guitarist and contemporary music performer. He studied at the Catholic University of Chile and later in Geneva, where he graduated as a soloist in 2002, and obtained the potgrad in contemporary chamber music in 2004. His goal is to publicize the works of young composers and find new ways to expression, as well as new supports for these creations.
