International students specific programs- Study Abroad



During the 2015-2016 academic year around 3,000 students took part in one of the Study Abroad programmes. Below we describe the most habitual nationalities and partners with whom we work on the different programmes:
 
Pre-Established

Of the international students signed up for the Pre-Established programme, more than 75% are from the USA, while between 5% and /5 are from Brazil or Germany. Among the other nationalities, some of the most represented are Australia, Belgium Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Egypt, France, Hungary, Japan, Morocco, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Great Britain and Turkey.

The Pre-Established programme works with 14 American agencies that provide almost 80% of the students. Study Abroad also has agreements with 16 providers and universities around the world in countries such as China, Brazil, Germany, Canada and Taiwan.

During the 2016-2017 academic year, the programme beat its own record of 3,150 with new providers, facilitating the mobility of students from the USA and China, among others. 
 
Tailor Made

On the Tailor-Made programme and the 33 sub-programmes deriving from it, the UAB received a total of 1,076 students from different countries, among which are Colombia, USA, Mexico, Macau, South Korea, United Kingdom, Taiwan, China and Uruguay.

This year we have also established new relations and new programmes have been created with groups from the Popular Uatonomo9us University of the State of Puebla in Mexico and with the SIUR agency in Uruguay.
 
Selected Courses

During 2015-2016 114 students took part in Selected Courses programmes. The most common origins were the Ostfalia Hochschule, the Heinrich-Heine Universität Düsseldorf and the Universität Bielefeld (Germany); Fundación UADE (Argentina); Concordia University (Canada); the Tecnológico de Monterrey, the Anáhuac México Norte and the Instituto Tecnológico de Boca del Río (Mexico); the Xianda SISU, the Jinling Collage Nin Jing University and the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies Nanguo Bus (China); Universidad del Rosario (Colombia); Harvard University, Princeton University, Yale University and Columbia University within the CASA programme (USA). 

International Visits of the Department of Communication and Promotion

During the academic years from 2015 and 2017 visits took place to countries such as China, Taiwan, Colombia, Mexico, Germany, Sweden and Belgium.
