On 20 June 2014 the Board of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona Foundation (FUAB) agreed to create Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona Foundation Training School (Escola FUAB Formació), with the aim of organising, managing and offering non-subsidised training in all areas of knowledge.

At the proposal  of the UAB the school would organise official Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, CPD courses and other courses of its own design, postgraduate courses and courses approved by the Universitat Autònoma  de Barcelona. It can also organise informative courses in the areas of knowledge within its remit.

The Escola FUAB Formació, began its activities in the 2015-2016 academic year with the Master’s degree in Advanced Accountancy and Auditing which formed part of the studies offered by the FUAB along with the other courses offered by schools of the FUAB and affiliated with the UAB: School of Archival Studies and Records Management, School of Prevention and Integral Safety and Security and School of Tourism and Hotel Management and the Doctor Robert School. All of these schools have a long tradition of university studies. 

On 9 December 2021 Resolution REU/3574/2021 was published in the Official Bulletin of the Government of Catalonia, approving the disaffiliation of these schools from the UAB and their incorporation in the Escola FUABFormació, which is itself affiliated to the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

Located on the UAB Campus 

The school is located in the Edifici Blanc (White building) in the area of the campus student residence, the Vila Universitària, which houses more than 2,000 students each year and offers a number of different services. 

Its location on the UAB campus of excellence which prides itself on being a healthy and sustainable and where students can enjoy all the services offered by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona: the campus libraries; the fitness centre; the UAB Employability Service, withe job offers and advice for job seeking and entrepreneurship; the Language Service, and a host of cultural activities, among many other things. Cloe by there is also the Health Centre, which is open to the whole university community.


For getting around the campus there is a free bus service.
