The Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) (SGIQ)

SGIQ of the Faculty of Communication Sciences

The centres of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) have their own Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS), which reflects the firm commitment to offer quality degrees that include in their operation the mechanisms to ensure continuous evaluation and improvement, both of the degrees offered and of the management system itself.

 

The centre's SGIQ is committed to the UAB (SGIQ transversal UAB) and contributes to offering quality degrees that guarantee the achievement of the learning outcomes (skills, knowledge and competencies) established in the training programs. In order to achieve the fundamental objective of offering a scientific training of degree and postgraduate based on the needs and expectations of its users, and of society in general.

 

The SGIQ of the Faculty of Communication Sciences includes all the responsibilities and tasks carried out at the centre level, including the specific characteristics, needs and interests of the centre and the degrees it programmes.

 

This management system has been designed following the guidelines of the AUDIT program and the quality recommendations of AQU Catalunya and ENQA.

 

On 23 November 2010, the Faculty of Communication Sciences obtained the favourable assessment by AQU Catalunya of the design of the IQAS. And on December 15, 2021, it obtained the AQU favorable certification of the implementation of the IQAS.
