In commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Observatory for Equality at UAB is organising an event next Monday 25th of November that is going to include the reading of a manifesto and a dance performance at 13:30h in Plaça Cívica.
The UAB has approved the formation of the Equal Commission, representative of the Governing Council and composed by several members of the UAB community. Its purpose is to coordinate the preparation, implementation, tracking and evaluation of the University’s Equality Plans, as well as promoting and supervising the prevention and intervention university policies at possible discriminatory situations and behaviours.
Once again, the Observatory for Equality at UAB will take part in the activities of la Festa Major (university's annual party). This year we will have two simultaneous campaigns and a Series of talks about sexual violence.

Since the first equality plan passed in 2006, the UAB has constantly updated its policies with the aim of guaranteeing gender equality. Included in this fourth plan is a focus on the LGBTI perspective and in making sexism and gender violence more visible.

On 8 May the Faculty of Law organised an activity focused on RDLL6/2019, for the urgent implementation of measures for equality between women and men in labour
The Observatory for Equality organises for the fourth time the Prizes to the best TFGs with gender perspective and registration is open until 20 September 2019.
