Once again this year, the UAB will be awarding prizes for Final Degree Projects (TFG) carried out by university students and which promote social change. There are three different calls, which will be open from 1 July to 29 October 2021.
On 17 May, International Day Against LGBTI-phobia, the act LGBTI Realities and Policies in the University was held. It was presented by the Secretary General. The UAB is promoting the use of bicycles as a means of transport between the university campus and surrounding towns. In September work will begin to construct a bicycle lane connecting Badia del Vallès and the campus, and more lanes will be built from Sabadell and, in the future, from Cerdanyola.
On Wednesday, 24th March, at 12pm the fifth edition of the prizes por the best Final Degree Projects (TFG) with a gender perspective, from the academic year 2019-2020, will be hold. This year, 134 people have participated and a total of 32 TFGs have been awarded prizes. The event will be broadcasted live on YouTube.
On 11 March next at 12 pm the XVI Institutional Day will be held at the UAB in commemoration of the International Women’s Day. The event will include the recognition of the students of the first class of the bachelor’s degree in Socio-Cultural Gender Studies at the UAB. It can be followed on the UAB YouTube channel
Participants have time until 1 March to sign up for the UAB Solidarity Race, organised jointly with the Cerdanyola City Council. This event aims to give support to the annual TV3 marathon, La Marató de TV3, dedicated this year to Covid-19. The new format has been adapted due to the pandemic.
The plaça Cívica’s stairs painted with the LGTBIQ flag and the banner with the slogan “We are building feminist universities” have been stained with paint. Prior to this, the mural against male violence had already been attacked.
On Thursday, December 3rd, at 12:30 pm, the UAB commemorated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities by holding a broadcasted live act on the UAB YouTube channel. In the course of the event, the Impuls Grants were also awarded. They are aimed at ensuring equal opportunities for all students.
L’Observatori per a la Igualtat participates one more year in Festa Major de la UAB organizing the Furia Fest, the first music festival against sexist violence, and setting up a virtual Purple Point
