Grand Dictionnaire Terminologique

UNTerm
Terminology database that provides nomenclature of the United Nations and special terms in the six official languages: Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, French, English and Russian. This database is intended primarily for UN translators and editors, to ensure the homogenous translation of common terms and phrases used in the Organization.

East & South Asia Database

China Cult.Es

A complete database for research on Chinese stories, including a search database with oral performances of story, dramas, audio and video recordings, written documents relevant to telling stories, photographs and pictorial art that are relevant to to storytelling and background information, conferences and a bibliography.

JAPAN

The Hyakugo Archives

A collection of medieval Japanese documents originally preserved in Toji, a Buddhist temple in Kyoto.

The huge collection consists of almost 25,000 documents covering approximately 1,000 years, from the 8th to the 18th centuries. Most of the collection dates back to the 14th and 15th centuries.

The collection is known as "Toji Hyakugo Monjo (one hundred document boxes)", as the documents have been preserved in 100 Paulownia document storage boxes given to Toji during the Edo period by Maeda Tsunanori , lord of the Kaga domain.

The writings are made in kanji characters and kana syllabary, handwritten with brush and Chinese ink on washi (Japanese paper). Images of all documents are available. Interface in English, contained in Japanese.

JACAR currently provides access to official documents considered useful for understanding the past relationships of Japan with several neighboring Asian countries and regions. These are the collections of three institutions
 


KOREA

Complete Collection of the Korean Study of the Confucian Classics

The complete collection of the Korean classical Confucian study by the Eastern Studies Institute of the University of Sungkyunkwan contains 145 volumes. It also contains annotations from the Confucian scholars of Korea.

Korean History Database
A complete full-text database of the National Institute of Korean History with many resources, including history: The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty, daily records of the Royal Secretariat of the Joseon Dynasty, Samguk Sagi, a historical record of the Three Kingdoms of Korea: Goguryeo, Baekje and Silla, and Samguk Yusa with legends, popular stories and historical tales.

You can also find material from more modern periods, such as the period under Japanese rule and Korean, and modern and contemporary Korean newspapers and magazines, such as Donga Ilbo numbers between 1920 and 1962 and maps of the Korean general governor, as well as photographs and images.

Korean Newspaper Archives
An integrated search platform that allows you to easily locate and locate 70 Korean newspapers with articles published before 1950 of Japanese colonialism and modern times.

They are the most authentic archives necessary for studies on the modern and contemporary history of Korea, of the power usurped during the colonial period.

Humanities Full text
Bibliographic database that collects citations of articles published in specialized journals in the humanities. Access to full-text articles published as of January 1995.
