About the collection

The collections related to Translation, Interpreting and East Asia Studies that are available in the UAB are mainly at the Humanities Library, housed in two buildings:

Periodical publications are found in the Journals Room, Building B (in front of the Auditorium).

The books on translation and interpretation are mostly on the second floor of the Humanities Library (Building L), with the call number 801.7. You will find the works on languages with the call numbers 802.0 (English), 803.0 (German), 804.0 (French), etc.

Language dictionaries and specialized dictionaries are located on the third floor of the library, in the Reference area (REF3).

The books on East Asia are on the third floor of the library, in the Asian Section. It is a separate section that contains all books on Asian topics or written in Eastern languages. These documents are classified by language, in large sections, A for East Asia in general, X for Chinese, J for Japanese and K for Korean.

In addition, some documents such as research work, books published before 1950, large-format books, leaflets, etc. are located in the library repository.

You can access the online digital collections through the search engine, either electronic books, electronic journals, databases ...

We highly recommend the Harumi Befu Collection.
