Bachelor's, Master's and Postgraduate at the UAB

UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Socio-Cultural Gender Studies: The Degree in Sociocultural Gender Studies offers a multidisciplinary view of the binary gender system and the exercise of power sustained by this axis, as well as the inequalities it has generated and continues to generate. The programme includes disciplines in the political-social field (law, sociology, education, anthropology, economics), in the historical-cultural field (history, philosophy, language and literature, literary theory and comparative literature, communication, geography), and in the health field (psychology).   • Minor in Gender Studies: The Gender Studies Minor provides cross-disciplinary gender training and is open to all UAB undergraduate students. It includes the gender-related courses offered by the faculties and comprises 125 ECTS, of which students must complete 30. It consists of two tracks. More information:

MASTER’S AND POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES 

  • Official Interuniversity Master’s Degree in Women, Gender and Citizenship Studies: This is an interuniversity master’s degree organized by the Institute for Women’s and Gender Studies (IIEDG). This master’s offers specialized training in women’s studies and gender studies, aimed at professionalization and research. It is offered in an on-site modality and an online modality (90 ECTS). The master’s includes two specializations (20 ECTS each). More information:

  • Specialization Diploma in Gender and Equality: This postgraduate programme offers specialized training in gender and equality within the context of socially relevant issues. The programme is the result of collaboration between the Barcelona Provincial Council—Equality and Citizenship Area, Service for the Promotion of Gender Equality Policies—, the Institute of Political Training, and the Department of Political Science and Public Law at the UAB. More information
  • Specialization Diploma in Gender-based Violence: The aim is to train specialists in gender-based violence from social and legal perspectives. This programme is organized by the Department of Political Science and Public Law and by the consolidated research group Antígona: Law and Society from a Gender Perspective. More information
