Teaching about gender, Bachelor's students, Doctorate students, PAS and PDI

The action Training on gender-based violence at the UAB started in 2017, within the framework of the implementation of the Protocol to prevent and act against sexual and sex-based harassment, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and male chauvinist violence, from the signed agreement with the Brunel University of London to participate as an associate partner in the Universities Supporting Victims of Sexual Violence (USVSV) project:¿Training for Sustainable Student Services. The USVSV project started in March of 2016 and ended in February of 2018, aiming to raise awareness and give the university community resources to respond and act appropriately upon receiving a case.
Participating in this project has allowed the UAB to hold training sessions for teaching staff regarding gender-based violence at the university and, ultimately, to put in motion training courses for raising awareness and the initial care in harassment cases at our Campus. More specifically:
- Raising awareness of gender-based violence.
- Informing of the tools and frameworks that the UAB offers its community in order to address and intervene in harassment cases.
- Creating a network of people trained in this field.
Currently, we coordinate workshops and courses for the three groups of the UAB: Bachelor’s and Doctorate students, teaching staff and service and administration personnel.
