Masculinity work space
“The men we want to be”, the masculinity work space at the UAB
Men in the UAB community have an essential role in creating a feminist university. In order to rethink the concept of hegemonic masculinity, the UAB offers a 2-hour workshop addressing men who wish to reflect on the impact of masculinity, gender violence and dialogue culture.
By using a multidisciplinary methodology that takes awareness as the base, social and power dynamics and the ways they shape men’s experiences will be explored, finding ways to combat these dynamics and take individual responsibility to transform them.
Attendance certificates will be offered after each session, as well as the possibility to take individual sessions if requested.
Dates and registration
This space is aimed at all men at UAB (students and workers) and is divided into four editions in different faculties. It is free.
