How to access the services
If you are a UAB student and want to access our services, you must register with us. To do so, you must fill in the application form through the E-Office (you will need to attach the relevant supporting documentation). The electronic form is only available to people who have a Spanish DNI. If you do not have one, you will have to fill in the form in person at the Registry Office (Rector's Office building).
Who can request adaptations?
- Students in possession of a disability certificate (Spanish or foreign).
- Students without a disability certificate, and who have duly diagnosed medical or psychological circumstances (for example: mental disorder, ASD, dyslexia, ADHD, chronic illness, etc.)
- Students who have had adaptations at other universities or in previous studies.
How to request adaptations?
You must make a request for adaptations through the E-Office (remember that if you don't have a Spanish ID you must fill the application form in person in the Registry Office). Once you send it, we will contact you (within a maximum period of 20 days) to make an appointment for an assessment interview. It is important that you apply well in advance (in the case of adaptations for the exams, at least two weeks before).
To request adaptations, it is essential to provide at least one of the following documents:
- Full certificate of disability (Spanish or international)
- A certificate of adaptations in Spain's university entrance exams (PAU)
- Documentation accrediting adaptations in other universities or in previous studies (if you are an exchange student, this can be the report o certificate of adaptations in your home university).
- Diagnostic report of the medical or psychological problem

- Find out more: on the website, call us, write to us. If you are a new student, you can come by appointment before enrolling to learn about the service.
- Enrol at the UAB: if you have a disability certificate, submit it with your enrolment form.
- Fill in the adaptation request form, attaching the documentation.
- Within 20 days, we will make an appointment for an assessment interview.
- We will interview you to assess your needs, and we will prepare a report of adaptations for the teaching staff.
- For the correct application of the adjustments, you will need to contact the teaching staff and the person responsible for inclusion at your faculty or centre.
- Follow-up: throughout the course, you can contact us to carry out follow-up tutorials, resolve doubts, review adaptations or report unforeseen situations.
