Equality Delegate

Students play a key role in the promotion of equality at the UAB. Through the figure of the Equality Delegate, students can take an active part in matters related to gender and LGBTI issues. This initiative falls under measure 1.3.5, Improving the governance of equality policies at the University, from the UAB’s IV Gender Equality Action Plan (IV PAG). The initiative is driven and coordinated by the Community Engagement Unit tigether with the Equality and Diversity Service. 

As an Equality Delegate, you will represent the students of your faculty in the working group of the Equality and Diversity Service. You may also join your faculty’s Equality Committees and Student Council. Additionally, we offer free training with a gender perspective, so you have the tools to promote equality at the UAB.  

Moreover, the Equality Delegates must choose among themselves the people who will participate in the following bodies: 

• 2 people to take part in the UAB Student Council (CEUAB).
• 2 people to take part in the Equality Plan Monitoring Committees.
