Study on Tutoring at University

In the framework of the UAB’s Tutorial Action Plan, throughout the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 academic years, we developed the Diagnostic Evaluation of the TAP-UAB Academic Tutoring project with the aim of learning the current state of said academic tutoring and working towards a quality academic tutoring at the UAB that contributes to a successful accomplishment of their students’ university education, facilitating adapting to university, learning, academic performance and orientation. The diagnostic analysis of academic tutoring in the UAB’s university context leads us to define the following objectives in this project’s framework:   

  • Mapping the needs of the UAB’s academic tutoring, which will involve:
  1. Indicating the UAB’s academic tutoring main analysis indicators.
  2. Designing a device to gather the information from the analysis indicators.
  • Designing orientation and/or action lines for the development of quality academic tutoring at the UAB.

The Final Orientation: Proposals to improve the UAB university tutoring report was conducted from the results obtained in this study. This document is a collection of orientation addressing the three referential axes (faculty, university students and Institution) that can contribute to improving those aspects and/or indicators identified as more critical in regards to the UAB university tutoring.
