Peer-support groups
MeetUp Inclusion is a space for university students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to share experiences, doubts and strategies to cope with university life, both academic and social, at our Campus. This programme consists of monthly or bi-monthly two-hour meetings, each focused on a different topic, such as: study techniques, exam preparation skills, oral presentation skills and other topics such as relationships or facilitating tools for wellbeing. Each session begins with a open talking space for the participants, and then key contents related to the specific topic are discussed.
The programme is organised in collaboration with the Associació Espectre Autista-Asperger de Catalunya (a Catalan organisation dedicated to autistic people and their families), and the meetings are conducted by a psychologist from the organisation, with the assistance of a member of the Inclusion and Special Needs staff.
The sessions will be carried out mostly in Catalan.
Schedule: you can find the days and place of the sessions in our agenda.
Time: from 12:00 to 10:00 (for anyone interested, a space to have a group lunch is offered from 14:00 to 14:30)

This mutual support group is a free space aimed at university students who wish to share experiences, take care of their emotional well-being, and acquire tools to face the challenges of academic life from an inclusivity and community-oriented perspective. Throughout the sessions, practical strategies will be developed, such as organization and planning, emotional management during assessments, assertive communication, and interpersonal relationships, always emphasizing peer support and shared knowledge, organized with accessibility criteria.
The goal is to promote the creation of a mutual support network among students, where participants can recognize one another, support each other, and acquire resources adapted to their needs.
