The UAB libraries, together with the Doctoral School, offers the courses for PhD students: ‘Intellectual Property in the Thesis’ and ‘Open Access Publishing and Funding at UAB’.

The UAB Library Service organizes, together with the Doctoral School, the following training sessions for PhD students:

Intellectual Property in the Thesis
Online self-training course available from March to May.
Languages: Catalan, Spanish and English.

This course has a two-fold aim: on the one hand, to provide an overview of different aspects that the PhD Candidates need to take into account in order not to violate third parties’ rights when writing the thesis; and, on the other hand, to explain that they must publish their thesis dissertation in the institutional repository.

Open Access Publishing and Funding at UAB

Webinar sessions remotely held through Teams.
Languages: Catalan, Spanish and English.

This course aims to show the range of possibilities that researchers have to maximize the visibility of their research after its publication in open access and to inform them on the support that the University can provide them with publication costs. It is addressed to early stage researchers interested in knowing the different options and the benefits of open access publishing.
