Speech: Publish in open access in MDPI

The UAB has joined in the Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP) by MDPI editor this year. This program offers to UAB researchers and students an important incentive to publish in the MDPI journals at a more affordably price.

This Swiss editor, pioneer in the field of academic open access journals, applies a 25% discount to UAB community members in order to publish in any of its more than 200 multidisciplinary scientific journals. 

All of them are published with CC-BY license. 
Within the framework of Open Access Week, Marcos Arranz, MDPI and Genes editor, is going to give a speech about how to publish in MDPI journals. Related to this publishing house since 2 years ago, Arranz has been in charge of more than 20 editorial projects, has processed more than 100 journal articles and has represented MDPI and Genes in 5 international conferences. 

For his part, based on his own experience, Jordi Sort Viñas, researcher professor from ICREA and Editor-in-Chief of "Nanocomposite thin films and 2D Materials" section of "Nanomaterials” MDPI jounal (I.F. 4.034), will provide us with his personal vision about what publishing in open access implies. 

After their speeches, attendees will be allowed to ask and debate about open access.
