The Catalan University Libraries Erasmus Staff Week, which will take place during the second week of October, will focus on open science and the role of university libraries.

The Catalan University Libraries Erasmus Staff Week will be held from October 7 to 11, 2024. Lectures and discussions have been scheduled for five days to collaborate and exchange experiences in the field of open science and the role of university libraries.

At the conference, organized by the Consorci de Serveis Universitaris de Catalunya (CSUC), the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), the following topics will be discussed:

  • Open science infrastructures
  • Teaching support
  • Research support
  • Open education and citizen science

The Catalan University Libraries Erasmus Staff Week is open to all staff membres of partner universities who work in the Library Services and want to address the following questions:

  • What are the challenges facing libraries in supporting teaching and research?
  • What new tools are available?
  • What improvements can be implemented?

The UAB Library Service will host the event on October 10 focused on open education and citizen science.

Pre-registration is be open until May 15, 2024, the price is 150€ per person (includes breakfast, lunch and visits to places of interest in Barcelona). Up to a maximum of 20 participants will be admitted. English will be required.
