Library laboratory "Fanzins atemporals"

The Library Service of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) opens today the call to participate in the library Laboratory “Fanzins atemporals” (UAB), a citizen laboratory for experimentation and prototyping that will be held in COMTEC Centre of the Communication Library and General Newspaper Archives (UAB), on February 7, 8 and 9, 2024. Wednesday and Thursday hours will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This laboratory is an initiative of the Library Service (UAB), and it has the support of Laboratorios Bibliotecarios, promoted by the Subdirección General de Coordinación Bibliotecaria (Ministerio de Cultura, Gobierno de España). This is the first experience of these characteristics of innovation and experimentation carried out by the Library Service.
The laboratory is based on a specific theme, the Col·lecció Digital de Fanzins deposited in the Dipòsit Digital de Documents de la UAB (DDD), with the aim of collectively prototyping new uses of its collection.
The call is aimed at the entire UAB university community and anyone interested in the topic. Participation in the laboratory is open and free, upon registration. The deadline will remain open until next January 17, 2024. Registration will be in order of arrival.
The laboratory will have a total of 40 participants, who will be organized into work groups.
