The celebration of World Social Justice Day seeks to support the work of the international community aimed at eradicating poverty and promoting full employment and decent work, gender equality and access to social welfare and social justice for all.

The adoption by the International Labor Organization (ILO) of the 'Declaration on social justice for equitable globalization' is a good example of this commitment. The Declaration focuses on ensuring equitable results for all through employment, social protection, social dialogue, and fundamental principles and rights at work.
