International Days

International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women 

Around November 25th, the Equality and Diversity Service commemorates the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. This workshop includes awareness-raising activities such as conferences or group wall painting. 

International Day of Women and Girls in Science and Technology 

For the International Day of Women and Girls in Science and Technology, the Service and STEM faculties organise an act to commemorate February 11th. These activities are focused on raising awareness and visibility of the inequality women face in these areas. 

International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia 

On May 17th, the UAB commemorates the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. This act aims to raise awareness within the university community about the problems that the LGBTQ+ community faces and to promote an inclusive and respectful environment. Some of the activities have been colloquia, a concert or conferences.
