Equipment

We provide logistical equipment for use by UAB student groups listed in the Directory – the university’s register of student organisations – and by student councils, for meetings, activities and other initiatives of interest to students.

The equipment

The equipment includes folding tables (1.80 × 0.80 m), marquees (3 × 3 m), folding chairs, sound equipment and a kit for setting up a Punt Lila (consisting of a marquee, skirting and vests) to support the organisation of activities, workshops and events. Tents can be requested with or without side walls. Various electrical appliances are also available, such as a sandwich maker, a kettle, a capsule coffee machine and a portable induction hob.

Requesting equipment

The use of this equipment is restricted to UAB students.

Equipment is available for hire from 10.00 to 16.30. Other times cannot be guaranteed without sufficient advance notice.

To collect the equipment, please go to the l’Àgora building. The equipment must be returned in the same condition as when it was issued and, once the activity has finished, it must be tidied away and left in good condition.

To request equipment, please complete the request form at least 48 hours before the start of the hire period.

For activities to be held outside the Plaza Cívica – for example, in faculties or schools, whether on campus or in the surrounding area – prior authorisation from the Dean’s Office or the School Management will be required.
