The call for the Awards for the Best Bachelor's Degree Final Projects with a Gender Perspective for the 2025-2026 academic year is now open
You have spent months researching, reading, writing, and defending your Bachelor's Degree Final Project (TFG). You applied a gender perspective to your project because you believe, just like we do, that it is an essential lens through which to understand the world. Now, the UAB Equality and Diversity Service wants to recognize this hard work: we are launching a new edition of the Awards for the Best Bachelor's Degree Final Projects with a Gender Perspective.
Applying for the awards means taking your research out of the drawer. It means making it visible, as the winning projects will be published on the Equality and Diversity Services website and receive institutional promotion. It means becoming part of a community of students who have also committed to a gender perspective across very different disciplines—from law to engineering, as well as medicine, political science, or the humanities. And it means receiving recognition: a diploma issued by the Service and a gift funded by the Catalan Women's Institute (Institut Català de les Dones), consisting of a collection of feminist books. Furthermore, the award ceremony is an opportunity to participate in an open academic conference where winners briefly share their research with the university community.
The call is open to UAB undergraduate students who have completed their Bachelor's Degree Final Project (TFG)—either individually or collectively—during the 2025-2026 academic year. The project can be from any discipline, must have obtained a minimum grade of 8.5, and must apply a gender perspective to the approach of the investigated phenomenon, as detailed in the rules and guidelines. To register, you must fill out the online form, which is open from June 15 to September 25, 2026. Once your registration is received, you will be granted access to the awards space on the UAB Virtual Campus, where you must submit your TFG and your undergraduate academic transcript within the established deadline. Both documents must be in PDF format and follow the naming convention indicated in the guidelines. It is important to note that the project PDF must be anonymous: it cannot contain any reference to the author or the supervisor, and the only permitted identifiers are the title, the degree, and the NIU. Projects that do not meet this requirement will be excluded from the call.
The academic award ceremony will take place between March and April 2027 and will be a space to collectively celebrate the feminist research being done at UAB and to highlight the new voices driving it forward. At the Equality and Diversity Service, we work every day to build feminist universities, and your perspective adds to this mission: we encourage you to submit your TFG!
