The conference "Ahora contamos nosotras" carried out by the feminist journalist and writer Cristina Fallarás and promoter of the hashtag #Cuéntalo, and presented by the journalist and professor Isabel Muntané has been postponed.

Cristina Fallarás, feminist journalist and writer, is the promoter of the hashtag #Cuéntalo and author of the book Ahora contamos nosotras. This hashtag was promoted in April 2018, to encourage women to explain the sexist harassment they have suffered and suffer in the present. The aim of #Cuéntalo was to demonstrate the authenticity of reports and the dimension male violence has.  In two weeks, more than three million women added to the complaint and the hashtag went viral all over Spain. #Cuéntalo is the Spanish version of the initial viral movement #MeToo, which started in the United States at the end of 2017 to report sexual harassment and abuse situations as a result of the abuse scandal in Hollywood.  The book Ahora contamos nosotras is a reflection of the collective memory of stories of women who have suffered and suffer male violence, and who have shared them on social media, mainly on Twitter, with the hashtag #Cuéntalo. Fallarás recieved in 2019 the Feminist Journalism Award María Luz Morales, awarded by Observatorio Cultural de Género, Fundación Cataluña la Pedrera and collaboration of the journal ARA.

The conference will be presented by Isabel Muntané, feminist journalist and codirector of the Gender and Communication master's and postgraduate degree of the UAB, member of the communication cooperative Almena Feminista and member of the group On Són Les Dones, which claims the voice and presence of women in the media.

This conference is promoted by the Observatory for the Equality of the UAB and funded by Pacto de Estado contra la Violencia de Género, Ministerio de la Presidencia, Relaciones con las Cortes e Igualdad.
