Application
- Once you have requested the issue of your degree certificate or a duplicate, if all your documentation is correct, you will be given a temporary replacement degree certificate as soon as possible, which you will receive by email.
- When the certificate is printed, you will be notified so that you can pick it up. You can pick it up in person by presenting your DNI, TIE or passport. If you are unable to travel, you must authorise another person to collect it on your behalf by registering for this option in the electronic registry for powers of attorney belonging to the public administration (Representa platform), or by acquiring a specific power of attorney document. In the latter case, the authorised person must present a photocopy of your DNI, TIE or passport when picking up your certificate.
- On the other hand, you can also make a request at the academic management office in your centre/faculty to send the degree certificate to the Government delegation or sub-delegation closest to your home, or to a Spanish consular office or embassy. In this case, you will have to pay the fees corresponding to this service. Remember that you can request this option when filling in your self-application for a degree certificate.
Time period
The deadline for collecting an official degree certificate is five years. Once this period has elapsed, after you have been informed, your degree certificate will be destroyed.
