The Covid-19 crisis with gender perspective

Does the Covid-19 crisis affect women and men in the same way? The vice-rector of Students and Employability and member of the Department of Sociology of the UAB, Sara Moreno Colom, answered to that question in the online space UAB Respon. "The social phenomena and public policies are not neutral to gender", she affirmed. The video, titled "The gender impact of Covid-19", aims to answer a series of questions on the dimension of gender in the current crisis context." According to Moreno, the gender impact in the crisis of Covid-19 is shown, at least, in 8 dimensions.

The aim of the UAB Respon platform is to offer the university community and the population in general educational contributions by teaching and research staff of the UAB in relation to the coronavirus pandemic, with videos and opinion articles. They address issues related to SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, their psychological and social effects, among others.
