PASTWOMEN

Thematic Network of Archaeology and Material History of Women and Gender: Research, Culture, and Communication.

Pastwomen Network is a collaborative network aimed at promoting feminist perspectives in the study of prehistoric societies and the ancient Mediterranean, as well as their public communication. It is made up of more than 30 university researchers, educators, museum professionals, and specialists from ten Spanish universities, as well as museums, educational and cultural institutions, and European research centers. The origin of this collaboration dates back 15 years when a series of joint research projects began with the main goal of making feminist research in archaeology visible and studying the historical practices of women through archaeology, material culture, and its dissemination in the fields of formal education (students and teachers) via a digital platform.
