TRADITION
Long-term Coastal Adaptation, Food Security and Poverty Alleviation in Latin America.
The TRADITION project (2019–2025) operates in the coastal areas of Brazil’s three largest biomes: the Pampas, the Atlantic Forest, and the Amazon. These coastal zones have supported human populations for at least the past 6,000 years, enduring periods of both environmental and social change. The legacy of these past populations is still evident in modern communities, yet fisheries and their stakeholders have largely been overlooked in historical narratives.
