UAB Archaeology Campus
The UAB Archaeology and Paleontology Campus is a tool that supports research and scientific development in the fields of archaeology, paleontology, and cultural heritage, as well as in their management and dissemination. Through UAB’s research groups and centers, as well as its undergraduate and postgraduate programs, a series of synergies are created with the territories where the University conducts research (archaeological and paleontological sites) and teaching activities (undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral fieldwork).
The creation of the Campus strengthens the existing relationship between the UAB and various local councils, aiming to recognize archaeological sites and their associated infrastructures as spaces for teaching and research, thereby establishing stable collaboration. This type of university campus expands and enhances the University’s engagement with the Catalan territory and becomes a driving force for the cultural heritage of the municipalities, as well as a hub for the transfer of knowledge generated through archaeological research.
