Standing Comittee

The Standing Committee is the body that supports the ordinary management of the Faculty of Law and acts by delegation of the Faculty Board. In accordance with Article 13 of the Faculty Regulations, its members are:

  • The Dean, who serves as Chair.
  • The department directors linked to the Faculty.
  • The coordinators of undergraduate and graduate programmes.
  • The members of the Dean’s Office.
  • One representative of the teaching staff and one representative of the predoctoral research staff who teach at the Faculty.
  • Four student representatives, elected by their sector within the Faculty Board.
  • One representative of the administrative and service staff.
  • The Faculty administrator.
  • The Academic Manager.
  • The Faculty Secretary, who also serves as Secretary of the Standing Committee.

All members must also belong to the Faculty Board.

Roles and meetings

The Standing Committee may exercise any powers delegated to it by the Faculty Board, except for those roles that the Ordinances establish as non-delegable.

Ordinary meetings are convened by the Dean with a minimum notice of three days. Its operation and the publication of its resolutions follow the provisions laid out in Articles 10, 11 and 12 of the Faculty Ordinances.
