To mark May 17, the International Day Against LGBTIQ+phobia, the UAB Equality and Diversity Service has organized an exhibition at the Faculty of Law to commemorate 20 years of equal marriage and reaffirm the rights of the LGBTIQ+ community.

On Tuesday, 12 May 2026, the Faculty of Law of the Autonomous University of Barcelona hosted the Annual Spring Meeting of the Association of Former Officials of the Institutions of the European Communities in Spain (AIACE-ES) in Catalonia, within the framework of the collaboration agreement between AIACE-ES and the UAB. The event brought together more than thirty former European officials residing in Catalonia and took place entirely on the Bellaterra Campus.

The Faculty of Law of the Autonomous University of Barcelona has had an especially outstanding participation in the Interuniversity Trial Simulation Competition, an academic contest that brings together students from the Master’s Degree in Legal Practice and Court Representation from the three public universities in Catalonia: the UAB, the University of Barcelona, and Pompeu Fabra University.

On the occasion of Europe Day, the Faculty of Law of the Autonomous University of Barcelona hosted on May 8 the conference “The Role of the Court of Justice of the EU in a Changing International Context”, an event jointly organized with the Institute for European Studies.

On May 7, we had the privilege of delivering the seminar “Eves of Behemoth. The Assault of National-Conservative Jurists on the Democratic Republic” at the Faculty of Law of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, with the participation of Professor Sebastián Martín.

Last Tuesday, April 28, the Faculty hosted the lecture “Geopolitical Arctic and Lapland: Climate Change, Natural Resources, Security & Tourism”, delivered by Esa Posio, professor and specialist at the Lapland University of Applied Sciences.

On April 16, students from group 02 of the European Union Law course took part in a simulation of a European Citizens’ Panel, an activity jointly organized by the Faculty of Law and the European Documentation Centre of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

Last Monday, April 13, the Faculty of Law of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona hosted, in the Board Room, a law firm presentation session aimed at students of the Double Degree in Law-Droit.

The European Documentation Centre has launched a new edition of the Europe Day Kahoot this year, featuring a more ambitious format and making use of UAB’s institutional license, which allows participation of up to 10,000 people.

The Faculty of Law at the UAB celebrates the recognition of four Bachelor’s Theses at the 9th Arcadi Oliveres Awards for Global Justice, which highlight academic research focused on social impact and global transformation.
