The UAB Faculty of Law, through the Manuel Ballbé Chair, has participated in the sessions of the Group of Governmental Experts of the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons held in Geneva from 2 to 6 March 2026. The aim is to contribute to the international debate on the regulation of autonomous weapons systems based on artificial intelligence.

The Faculty of Law of the Autonomous University of Barcelona hosted yesterday the event “Diverse Women at UAB”, a conference organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day that brought together academics, students, and members of the university community to discuss the concepts of equality, discrimination, and diversity from both a legal and human perspective.

On 10 March 2026, the Faculty of Law at UAB hosted the seminar “Constitutionalism, Populism, and the Judiciary: Case Studies”, organized in honor of Professor José Tudela Aranda.

On Friday, March 6, the seminar “Disinformation and the European Union” took place in the Faculty of Law’s Graduation Hall. The session was delivered by Marina Meseguer Torres, from Learn to Check.

On 2 March, the European Documentation Centre at UAB hosted the presentation of the book The External Action of the European Union, a reference work that analyses the main instruments, actors, and challenges of the EU’s foreign policy.

The Faculty of Law of the UAB today held the conference “Youth and Global Security: Spain in the face of hybrid threats and European defence”, organised jointly with Helsinki Spain.

Last Tuesday, February 17, the Faculty of Law of the UAB hosted the conference “Anatomía de una sentencia: la discriminación por origen étnico en la STJUE de 18 de diciembre 2025 en el asunto C-417/23, Slagelse Almennyttige Boligselskab”, given by Dr. Cristian Oró Martínez, jurist of the Court of Justice of the European Union.
