Work placements
Professional placements are part of the optional subjects in the Faculty of Law’s study plan, and they can be carried out during the first semester, the second semester, or throughout the entire academic year.
Definition and nature
Curricular placements are a learning activity aimed at enabling students to:
- Apply and supply the knowledge acquired during their academic training;
- Foster the acquisition of competences that prepare them for professional practice;
- Enhance their employability; and
- Encourage their entrepreneurial capacity.
Given the educational nature of curricular external placements, their completion shall in no case give rise to obligations typical of an employment relationship, nor may their content substitute the work performed in a regular job position.
These placements may be carried out either at the University itself or in collaborating entities (companies, institutions, and public or private organizations, both national and international).
Educational Cooperation Agreements
Collaborating entities shall sign Specific Educational Cooperation Agreements, which include the training project, in order to establish the regulatory framework governing the relationships among the student, the collaborating entity, and the Faculty of Law (see model).
