Recognition of work experience
Accredited work and professional experience may be eligible for recognition, provided that it is related to the competences associated with the degree. A contract with a minimum duration of two years is required.
Application
It is not necessary to be enrolled in the subject, and the application may be submitted at any time during the academic year.
Documents required:
- Application form (including proof of the payment of the fee)
- Employment contract
- Updated Employment History Report (you can download it from the Social Security website)
- Company certificate describing the tasks performed and the competences acquired through professional activity.
The degree coordination team will assess whether the application for recognition is appropriate or not.
The credits recognized on the basis of work experience will be recorded in the student’s academic transcript as work placement credits for the degree programme.
The total number of credits recognized for non-official studies and professional or work experience may not exceed 15% of the total credits required by the degree programme.
Academic effects
- Recognized credits will be incorporated into the student’s academic record with a “Pass” grade, indicating that they have been recognized.
- Recognized credits will not be included in the calculation of the student’s grade point average.
