Academic Affairs Committee

The Academic Affairs Committee is the body responsible for ensuring the quality and proper functioning of teaching at the Faculty of Law. It brings together representatives from all groups within the university community and works to continuously improve the programmes offered at the Faculty.

Composition

In accordance with Article 15 of the Faculty Ordinances, the Academic Affairs Committee is composed of:

  • The Dean, who serves as Chair.
  • The coordinators of all the Faculty’s degree programmes.
  • The directors of the Faculty’s departments.
  • One member of the Dean’s Office.
  • One representative of the teaching staff and one representative of the predoctoral research staff who teach at the Faculty.
  • The Faculty administrator.
  • The Academic Manager.
  • Three student representatives.
  • One representative of the administrative and service staff.
  • The Faculty Secretary, who acts as Secretary of the Committee.

Roles

The main roles of the Academic Affairs Committee are:

  1. Ensuring the proper implementation of the study programmes.
  2. Participating in the development or revision of study programmes.
  3. Making recommendations to improve teaching quality.
  4. Proposing initiatives to encourage student participation.
  5. Carrying out any additional teaching or academic tasks assigned by the Faculty Board.
