Equality Committee

The Equality Committee is the body that promotes, coordinates, and monitors equality policies at the Faculty of Law. Its main objective is to ensure a respectful, inclusive, and discrimination-free university environment.

Composition

In accordance with Article 17 of the Faculty Ordinances, the following are part of the Quality Committee:

  • The Dean, who serves as Chair.
  • The coordinators of all the Faculty’s degree programmes.
  • The directors of the Faculty’s departments.
  • One member of the Dean’s Office team.
  • One representative of the teaching staff and one representative of the predoctoral research staff who teach at the Faculty.
  • Three student representatives, one of whom is the Equality Delegate.
  • One representative of the administrative and service staff.
  • The Officer of the Faculty equality policies.
  • The Faculty Secretary, who acts as Secretary of the Committee.

Roles

The main roles of the Equality Committee are:

  1. Coordinate and monitor the Faculty’s Action Plans on equality.
  2. Propose initiatives and measures that promote equality and non-discrimination.
  3. Prepare an annual report on compliance with equality ordinances within the Faculty.
