Equality Committee
The Equality Committee is the body that promotes, coordinates, and monitors equality policies at the Faculty of Law. Its main objective is to ensure a respectful, inclusive, and discrimination-free university environment.
Composition
In accordance with Article 17 of the Faculty Ordinances, the following are part of the Quality Committee:
- The Dean, who serves as Chair.
- The coordinators of all the Faculty’s degree programmes.
- The directors of the Faculty’s departments.
- One member of the Dean’s Office team.
- One representative of the teaching staff and one representative of the predoctoral research staff who teach at the Faculty.
- Three student representatives, one of whom is the Equality Delegate.
- One representative of the administrative and service staff.
- The Officer of the Faculty equality policies.
- The Faculty Secretary, who acts as Secretary of the Committee.
Roles
The main roles of the Equality Committee are:
- Coordinate and monitor the Faculty’s Action Plans on equality.
- Propose initiatives and measures that promote equality and non-discrimination.
- Prepare an annual report on compliance with equality ordinances within the Faculty.
