Students may carry out final degree projects (TFGs) in the Service-Learning (SL) modality that are related to the activities of the legal clinic. This connection will be established in accordance with the Faculty of Law’s regulations governing such projects, and this regulation shall not be interpreted as exempting students from the obligation to comply with those rules. This section does not apply to activities carried out by students within the context of Service-Learning courses or pro bono services referred to in the following sections, unless prior and express authorization is granted by the clinic’s management.
Clinical activity may be carried out, subject to prior authorization from the clinic’s management, within subjects taught in the Service-Learning (SL) modality. These are curricular courses offered by the Faculty of Law which, in accordance with the applicable regulations, integrate academic learning and community service within a framework of active collaboration.
Clinical activity may include student collaboration in the SEDIJ’s pro bono services as regulated in its regulations. This collaboration, which shall always be carried out under the direction and supervision of the professors responsible for the execution of the pro bono service, must align with the objectives of the clinic and will require prior authorization from the clinic’s management.
Participation in activities carried out within the framework of the legal clinic shall not alter the teaching obligations of the Faculty of Law’s teaching and research staff.
The Faculty of Law has a Sustainability Working Group led by Vice Dean Núria Reynal. This group analyses how to integrate the SDGs into the teaching and learning of Law. Iurislab – Legal Clinic aims to contribute to these objectives through initiatives and activities that can support this integration.
