Students have already chosen their representatives for the Senate

Students at UAB already voted for the candidacies that will represent them in the university’s Senate for the next two years. The candidacy Crida per la UAB was elected in most faculties, except in the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies, where SOM UAB won, and in the School of Engineering, where the candidacy Enginyers al Claustre was the most voted.
On 10 October elections were called to choose the candidacies that will represent students in the UAB’s Senate for the next two years. The final electoral list was published on 25 October and the Electoral Commission published the final candidacies for the Senate on 5 November. Lastly, the electoral campaign took place from 5 November to 15 November.
Electronic voting took place from 14 November at 9 a.m. until 15 November at 6 p.m. A period for submission of complaints is now open until 20 November, when the Electoral Commission will announce the final results.

Maximum representative body
The Senate is the maximum representative body within the university community. Their main tasks are to know and debate the main approaches of the university’s policy, controlling the management of positions, encouraging the normative activity of other bodies, requesting information on any aspect of the university’s activity and drafting suggestions, proposals and official statements.
In the case of students, representation is renewed every two years. The system of electronic vote that will be used is a common platform for all Catalan universities, promoted by Associació Catalana d’Universitats Públiques (ACUP) and managed by CESCA, which guarantees the security and reliability systems needed.
