  • Coordination and monitoring of the Action Plan of the Governing Team.

  • Coordination of representation activities in which the Rector participates.
  • Participation in communication policies.
  • Coordination of areas and structures accountable to the Rector's Office.
  • All other responsibilities delegated by the Rector.

Curriculum Vitae

Guimerà has extensive experience and expertise in the field of university management, teaching quality and institutional relations, alongside more than 25 years’ experience in managerial responsibilities and strategic coordination.

Her career has mainly been at the UAB, where she has held various management functions, among which she has excelled as a teaching quality technician, with tasks of implementation of evaluation processes, quality systems and teaching improvement, as well as being the Head of the Corporate Programmes Unit, where she directed the CITIUS programme and managed several institutional Master's degrees. Previously, she spent a decade as Head of Protocol for the Rector of the UAB, during which she took over the management of university protocol, institutional events and public relations.

She has also spent a significant part of her career in the field of public administration and the international projection of Catalan culture, as chief of staff to the director of the Ramon Llull Institute, a body linked to the vice-presidency of the Government of Catalonia, and as head of Protocol and External Relations to the Ministry of Universities,  Research and Information Society, coordinating and leading institutional activities and events and cultural projects of international scope. She has participated in highly relevant international projects, such as the coordination of the presence of Catalan culture as guest of honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair (2007) and the Cervantino International Festival in Guanajuato (2008), as well as in initiatives such as the Catalan Days in New York (2008) and the Catalan pavilion at  the eventi collaterali of the Venice Art Biennale (2009).
