UAB Foundation strengthens ties with the international education sector
Within the framework of the celebration in Barcelona of two international educational sector events, ICEF Higher Education and EAIE (European Association of International Education) this week, UAB’s headquarters in downtown Barcelona, Casa Convalescència, hosted a reception for representatives of some of the assisting companies and institutions.

Altogether, 58 attendees from 39 entities from around the world joined representatives of the UAB Foundation in order to get to learn more about our institution and to establish the bases for possible future collaboration, which were to be further discussed in private meetings during the EAIE congress.
The evening started at 6pm with a guided tour of Casa Convalescència building, causing admiration among the visitors for its singularity and architectural beauty. Following the visit, the outgoing director of the Specific Programs for International Students at the UAB Foundation UAB, Richard Turner, introduced the team and the new director, Rebecca Swanson, who will take over the position in October. They were joined by other representatives of the Foundation, like the executive vice-president and director of Educational Services, Maria Espadalé.
The meeting lasted until 8:30pm, in a pleasant atmosphere while enjoying a selection of snacks and refreshments, while the representatives of the international educational sector and members of the international team of the UAB Foundation exchanged opinions and discussed the latest news in the field.
