Research Group in Archaeology of the Mediterranean and the Near East (2021 SGR 00744).

Research Lines:

Archaeological study and excavation of sites in two major geographic areas—the Eastern and Western Mediterranean—through the development of projects in cooperation with international research institutions and teams. Based on the study of sites located in Syria, Iraq, Turkey, and Catalonia, the group focuses on issues of technological and social change in the earliest Neolithic communities, contributing to the understanding of the first farming societies and their consolidation.
