On 21 October, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona will host one of the events of Time Use Week 2026, the leading international event on time policies. The session will be organised with the active involvement of the Centre d’Estudis Sociològics sobre la Vida Quotidiana i el Treball (QUIT) - Sociological Research Centre on Everyday Life and Work, and the Centre for Demographic Studies (CED).

The Institute for Labour Studies (IET) will dedicate its 14th IET Conference to examining the impact of demographic ageing on the labour market and the social and employment-related challenges posed by this transformation.

The Director of the IET took part in the event El poder del trabajo en tiempos de algoritmos, which focused on analysing the impact of artificial intelligence and algorithmic management on the future of work.

The UAB and FGC are launching a new edition of the Vagó de la Ciència, this year focusing on social diversity. The IET is involved in the project, with Vicent Borràs serving as scientific curator.

EU-OSHA is organising the Healthy Workplaces Summit 2025 on 3–4 December in Bilbao, an international event focusing on occupational safety and health in the digital age.

Applications are now open for a 48-month FPI predoctoral contract linked to the project “Policies and Governance for a Just Transition to Electric and Connected Vehicles”, coordinated by Óscar Molina (UAB).
