Objective

The project aims to enhance the technological capacity, data quality and interoperability of the UAB’s Current Research Information Systems (CRIS).

Activities

During the implementation period, several key actions were carried out:

  • Institutional dashboard: development of an interactive dashboard for the integrated visualization of the university’s main research activity indicators.
  • Connector with the Digital Repository of Documents (DDD): development of proprietary software to automatically synchronize publications from the DDD with the UAB CRIS, transforming and validating metadata to ensure compatibility.
  • Connector with Dialnet: implementation of a tool that enables the automatic import and integration of publications available in Dialnet into the UAB CRIS.
  • Transparency Portal: preparation of the technical infrastructure required to facilitate the extraction, normalization and access to institutional information intended for publication.
  • Connector with the chairs’ merit management application: creation of specific views on the corporate database to facilitate the automatic integration of information coming from EGRETA.
  • Automation of the evaluation of departments, institutes and centres: development of an application to generate automated reports and an interactive dashboard in Power BI for the analysis and consultation of evaluation indicators.

These actions have contributed to improving the integration, quality and analytical use of research information at the university.

Funding

The total budget of the project is €83,600.95, co-funded through the María de Guzmán call of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT).
