UAB Dance Performance

Imatge Mostra Aula de Dansa

On May 8th, contemporary dance groups from the UAB will present the pieces that they have been working in throughout the academic year.

First of all, the students of Contemporary Dance (initiation), directed by David Nóvoa, will present a sample of the work they have done in class in a 7-minute piece called "SCLAT". This choreography aims to represent bodies that understand and attract each other; bodies that need distance to find harmony. In other words, a group that takes care of itself and embraces diversity, finding a common rhythm where interconnection is the force of the movement.

Next, we will be able to see "Dark Red", the choreography presented by the students of the Contemporary Dance workshop (intermediate level) under the direction of Laia Santanach. This 25-minute piece is an allegory of contemporary human injustices, of which we are all responsible, although we often watch them from a silent distance.
