The end-of-term academic & students’ services surveys serve as a tool for monitoring and improving all aspects of the programs we offer, their real value lies in the feedback that goes beyond the numbers. In this way, Study Abroad provides students with the opportunity to actively participate through comments and contributions that ultimately go beyond statistics. It is a space for reflection and growth.
The Survey in numbers
The satisfaction percentages speak for themselves. All areas of the questionnaire show an upward trend — from the academic course content & administration to the architectural setting and classrooms.
This year, the academic survey achieved a participation rate of 44%, which represents a slight decrease from the 52% recorded in 2024.
The services survey additionally evaluated five general areas: facilities, administration, information and communication, sustainability, and well-being. The overall average score was 78%, a positive sign that students are enjoying the experience.
Top marks for academics
The constant dedication to providing academic excellence, through stimulating courses that incorporate participatory cross-disciplinary activities, is yielding great results: in terms of the perception of the academic offering, evaluations are generally positive. A total of 276 courses were evaluated. The overall average rose from 93.7% in 2024 to 94.1% in the Spring 2025 program alone.
This increase takes place in the context of programme expansion and growth in student numbers, which reinforces the strength of the academic programme and the adaptability of the teaching team.
Working for a more sustainable and safer present and future
The most highly rated aspects by students relate to personal well-being and campus sustainability. The perception of an inclusive and discrimination-free environment stands out particularly, with a score of 85%.
In terms of sustainability, the overall rating is 80.71%, highlighting the recognition of the sustainable practices promoted by the organization. Within this area, the monitoring of paper usage (80%) and the availability of selective recycling bins (92%) were also very positively rated.
Students at the centre
From the warm welcome at orientation to hands-on problem-solving during the term, the student support services scored consistently high - above 90% in most areas.
For example, both student support and problem resolution received a score of 91%.
Other aspects that received very positive evaluations include the student guide and the information provided during the welcome sessions. Satisfaction with communication with academic coordination also stands out, with generally high and consistent scores.
An exceptional environment
Studying in the classrooms of Casa Convalescència is an essential part of the Study Abroad programme experience. While it’s true that the modernist facilities provide a unique environment for our students, it also means that the architectural heritage structure sometimes limits certain technological aspects. Nonetheless, the ratings are high, with an average satisfaction score of 87.2%.
Looking ahead
Despite the decrease in survey participation, there is a continuing overall upward trend in student satisfaction, both in terms of services and teaching quality. Casa Convalescència continues to stand out as a unique and highly valued learning environment.
