The 'Social and Collaborative Entrepreneurship Course' returns, with recognition of 1 ECTS credit

New Entrepreneurship course led by expert Montse Lamata López, to discover how to start a social and collaborative economy project. This activity is organized by UAB and the Federation of Worker Cooperatives of Catalonia. It will be held every Thursday in March, in the morning schedule, at the Emprèn UAB space, in Plaça Cívica. New workshop to improve public presentations with Artificial Intelligence tools

UAB offers students and alumni a free online workshop to teach how to use artificial intelligence tools to enhance communication skills in project presentations. The session, led by expert Pedro Olivares, will take place on December 4, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, via Microsoft Teams.

The lobby of the School of Engineering will host the next session of “The Entrepreneur’s Corner,” focused on the creation of Haddock. Arnau Navarro, co-founder, and Enric Chust, AI engineer, will explain the technological and business challenges behind this start-up.

iFest Bootcamp returns: online entrepreneurship training that grants 2 ECTS credits

Registration is now open for iFest Bootcamp, a 35-hour pathway based on design thinking to tackle real-world challenges. Undergraduate students at UAB who complete the training can obtain 2 ECTS credits. The registration deadline is 9 December 2025.
Nanoligent closes €12 million funding round to advance the development of its oncology nanodrug

Born as a spin-off of the UAB and the Research Institute of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, the company has closed a €12 million investment round to advance the development of its first oncological nanodrug. Led by Dr Montserrat Cano, Nanoligent aims to bring a new generation of oncological treatments based on nanobiotechnology developed at the UAB to the clinical stage.

The 6th "Emprèn Pitch" competition arrives, with three surprise trips up for grabs

The UAB is organizing this individual pitching contest for students, in which each participant has 90 seconds to give an oral presentation of their entrepreneurial idea or project. Registration is open until 1 December and the final will be held on 11 December.
Polaris is here: six months of specific mentoring to validate your business

Emprèn UAB is organising the first edition of the Polaris programme to validate projects from the university community. Polaris, aimed at innovative entrepreneurial projects from the UAB community, such as students, PTGAS, researchers and alumni (up to two years after completing their degree), seeks to deepen the knowledge and skills acquired to consolidate existing projects.

The programme is celebrating its 7th edition with 30 participants from six Catalan universities. This edition will run until December and will culminate in a Demo Day, where participants will present their projects to mentors, university representatives and members of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
