Barcelona Activa is organising a in-person event on 4 June at the Centre per a la Iniciativa Emprenedora Glòries in Barcelona, aimed at young entrepreneurs (up to 35 years old). The event combines talks with experienced entrepreneurs, speed networking, working sessions on shared challenges, and a final space to establish contacts and explore synergies.
Desaf·IA awards four teams for their innovative ideas developed with the help of artificial intelligence

The third edition of Desaf·IA took place yesterday at UAB with 18 students who, over the course of one morning, worked in teams to propose solutions to two challenges based on the Sustainable Development Goals. The four winning teams —two per challenge— have received individual 60-euro vouchers to spend at Abacus.
New call for the Polaris program to validate entrepreneurial projects

Emprèn UAB has launched a new call for the Polaris programme, an initiative that aims to consolidate and validate negotiation opportunities for entrepreneurial projects within the UAB community. The programme consists of six months of mentoring to help projects mature and set up as companies, generating an impact on the local area.

Desaf·IA: an idea competition with AI to solve real challenges

Desaf·IA returns for its third edition on 14 May, from 10.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., at the study hall in the RR building on plaça Cívica. UAB students and alumni will have one morning to come up with solutions to social and environmental challenges, working in teams and supported by artificial intelligence tools.
There is no need to bring a team or a pre-existing idea. The members of the winning teams will receive individual 60-euro vouchers to spend at Abacus.

14 entrepreneurial projects compete at the Demo Day of the 'Visionaris' course

The Emprèn UAB space at Plaça Cívica has hosted this Wednesday the Demo Day of the new edition of the "Visionaris" course, the UAB's introduction to entrepreneurship programme. A total of 14 projects were presented in pitch format, three of which have been selected by an expert jury to receive expert mentoring to continue their development.

On 3 March the UAB took part in several activities held at the 4 Years From Now (4YFN) event as a member of the Barcelona Knowledge Alliance (BKA). At the event, Rector Javier Lafuente and other representatives of the UAB community participated in debates and presentations that highlighted the role of university research in generating innovation, creating knowledge-bassed companies, and developing solutions that benefit society and the economy.
