Polaris

The programme provides support and validation for entrepreneurial projects within the UAB community. Its aim is to bring business projects to maturity so that they can become companies and generate an impact in the region. 

Polaris is designed to support innovative entrepreneurial projects within the UAB community, including students, PTGAS, researchers and alumni up to two years after completing their degree.

The programme will be divided into three phases:

1. The project will begin with an initial diagnostic phase. During this phase, a coordinating mentor will be assigned to guide the teams, conduct an in-depth assessment of the project's status, and define a tailored work plan.
2. A second phase of execution will be initiated in order to validate your value proposition and improve the technical, economic and commercial viability of the project. Each project will have up to 30 hours of mentoring with expert mentors specialising in different topics that the project needs to explore in depth in order to advance and mature.
3. The final phase of the project will involve a presentation to the committee, who will assess whether the project has achieved the necessary level of maturity and the possibility of accessing the Arquímedes accelerator.

Registration

Registration is free for the UAB community via the registration form. All interested individuals and projects may submit their applications at any time.

The registration period is open throughout the year. The evaluation committee will convene on a quarterly basis to assess applications. The admission criteria for the project are as follows: team and commitment (50%), project maturity (10%), market potential and impact (25%) and viability and scalability (15%).
