The competition is aimed at young people aged 18 to 30, who can take part in teams of 2 or 3 in the Senior Category to solve real-life challenges proposed by companies and organisations, or to submit their own project.

At the Grand Final, three winning teams will be selected and will receive a trip to London to develop their project, explore the entrepreneurial ecosystem and take part in mentoring sessions.

Registration is open from 26 January to 19 February (2:00 pm).

The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) is an international competition for university students who run a business while studying. Taking part offers a chance to progress to the European and global rounds and, at the final stage, to compete for cash prizes (a US$100,000 global prize pool), as well as to receive feedback and connect with an entrepreneurial network, according to the organisers.

On 26 March 2026, from 12:30 to 13:30, the Espai Emprèn UAB (above the bar at Plaça Cívica) will host a The Entrepreneurs’ Corner session focused on Clau Mestra, a project promoted by Sostre Cívic that has refurbished the former Teachers’ Houses in La Floresta to create affordable cooperative housing.

On 26 March 2026, from 11:30 to 12:30, the Espai Emprèn UAB (above the bar at Plaça Cívica) will host a The Entrepreneurs’ Corner session with Utopig Studio to explore how digital projects are developed through a cooperative, hands-on approach.

On 17 February 2026, from 13:30 to 14:30, at the Emprèn UAB Space (Civic Square), it will host the first meeting of the Entrepreneurs' Club, an initiative driven by students to connect people with entrepreneurial interests and start defining the group's activities.

On 19 February 2026, from 13:15 to 14:45, the Faculty of Economics will host a training session by Emprèn UAB, aimed primarily at students and open to the entire university community, to explore how early-stage business ideas are assessed.

Last Thursday, the final of the sixth edition of the 'Emprèn Pitch' competition was held at the Emprèn UAB space, awarding the three best presentations with a Waynabox surprise trip. The final featured 15 finalists, who had 90 seconds to defend their project before a professional jury.

Ten projects have submitted proposals covering areas such as deep tech, health, immersive technologies, heritage, educational digitalisation and the Internet of Things. The programme consolidates inter-university collaboration in knowledge transfer and scientific entrepreneurship among six Catalan universities.

The UAB launches a new edition of "Visionaris", a free entrepreneurship training course aimed primarily at UAB students and open to the entire university community. The programme will run from from February 16 to April 15, 2026, every Monday and Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m., at the Emprèn UAB space (Plaça Cívica).
