The UAB has opened registration for 'TechprenedorIA', a hands-on digital skills course in which participants will learn how artificial intelligence works, explore no-code tools and develop their own prototype. The course is free, carries 1 ECTS credit and runs on Tuesdays from 6 October to 10 November 2026, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Espai Emprèn UAB. Registration is through NEXUS.

The UAB has opened registration for 'Ideàrium', a hands-on design thinking course in which participants work in teams to turn real challenges into projects and develop prototypes. The course is free, carries 1 ECTS credit and runs on Thursdays from 8 October to 26 November 2026, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Espai Emprèn UAB. Registration is through NEXUS.

The UAB has opened registration for the fifth edition of 'Visionaris', the introductory entrepreneurship course in which participants come up with and work on a project of their own while learning to validate its viability. The course is free, carries 3 ECTS credits and will run from 30 September to 23 November 2026, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Espai Emprèn UAB, at Plaça Cívica.

Between September and November, the programme will offer six specialist sessions, as well as a day dedicated to entrepreneurship and spin-offs, which will be held as part of UAB's Innovation Week.

The startup, created by UAB's alumni, has developed a legal technology solution that helps organisations communicate terms and conditions, privacy policies and other legal documents more clearly.

The company has been recognised by ACCIÓ with the Catalonia Exponential Leaders Award, which recognises companies with the capacity for disruptive innovation and transformative impact.

Yesterday, in the Degree Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UAB, Emprèn UAB held the awards ceremony for the “Santander X Award”, an initiative that recognises and promotes entrepreneurial talent from the University's community. In this edition, the winners were Distinkt, in the best start-up category, and HeliCure, as the best entrepreneurial project.

The University of Barcelona (UB), the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), the University of Girona (UdG), the University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia (UCCV) and Rovira i Virgili University (URV) are launching the eighth edition of this programme. It is aimed at master's and doctoral students who are eager to develop their theses into a business venture and/or join an entrepreneurial team. This free, in-person training programme will begin in September. Registration is open until 31 July.

On 16 June, Emprèn UAB will host the final of the Santander X Spain Awards 2026. This initiative is promoted by the UAB in collaboration with Banco Santander, and aims to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship within the university community.

Barcelona Activa is organising a in-person event on 4 June at the Centre per a la Iniciativa Emprenedora Glòries in Barcelona, aimed at young entrepreneurs (up to 35 years old). The event combines talks with experienced entrepreneurs, speed networking, working sessions on shared challenges, and a final space to establish contacts and explore synergies.
