14 entrepreneurial projects compete at the Demo Day of the 'Visionaris' course
The Emprèn UAB space at Plaça Cívica has hosted this Wednesday the Demo Day of the new edition of the "Visionaris" course, the UAB's introduction to entrepreneurship programme. A total of 14 projects were presented in pitch format, three of which have been selected by an expert jury to receive expert mentoring to continue their development.
In a 4-minute pitch format, students have defended the projects they have been developing throughout the thirteen sessions of the course, which began on 16 February. The proposals have covered a wide range of fields: from local commerce revitalisation to sport gamification, ethical social networks and psychotherapy tracking tools, among others. The jury has selected the three winning projects, which stand out for their potential and degree of development:

| Jan González Estopiñá | SimbioS | A predictive medicine SaaS platform that creates a Digital Twin of the patient's metabolism, allowing professionals to test diets and supplements in a virtual environment before prescribing them. |
| Marc Serrano Clusella | Atisbo | An artificial intelligence platform that supports people of any background in developing their projects to institutional standard, acting as a virtual co-founder with persistent memory. |
The three winning teams will receive mentoring from experts in their field to continue developing their project. The rest of the participating projects will also receive specialised mentoring from market professionals in their respective sectors.
The jury was composed of Sílvia Piqueras, Director of the UAB Employment Service; Júlia Palma, Head of the Entrepreneurship and Territory Unit at the UAB Research Park; Carles Martínez, professor at the UAB Faculty of Economics and Business; and Minerva Estruch, Entrepreneurship Technician at the UAB Employment Service.
"Visionaris" is a 26-hour in-person course, primarily aimed at UAB undergraduate and master's students, but also open to the wider university community. Undergraduate students who complete it can obtain 3 ECTS credits.
